Musicians and Songwriters: Chunbi!

The World Taekwondo Federation invites everyone to participate in a contest to develop a taekwondo song lyric and anthem to be used during official taekwondo celebrations and events.
Musicians and songwriters are encouraged to engage in the fight against wrong notes and false tones and come out victorious. Competition time ist roughly three months from now (until Jan 31, 2007), Center Referee will be Ms. Jee Hee Vanden Berghe, staff of the WTF Public Relations Division, at the following address:

The Arbitration Committee (and place to register and applicate) is situated at the WTF Headquarters in Seoul , Korea. Applications will be accepted only if they are postmarked within the competition time, that is Jan. 31, 2007 deadline. The victorious competitor will receive not only eternal glory and a golden nameplate at the Taekwondo Museum in Kukkiwon, but also cash prices:
- Winning Anthem (1): US$5,000
- Winning Lyrics (1): US$3,000
The Competition Rules:
- The winning lyric or anthem should be original writings or compositions. In case of plagiarism or the usage of compositions and writings from other songwriters or composers without any references to the original sources, the entry will be excluded from evaluation. In such situations, the applicant is responsible for any consequences
- We welcome entries from anyone who loves the sport and spirit of taekwondo
- The winning lyric and anthem will not be returned to the writer, and all rights and related intellectual properties will be transferred to the WTF
- If the winning lyric or anthem is found to be plagiarized from other sources, all prizes and related recognition will be annulled.
- Lyrics should be written in English and/or Korean.
- Every applicant is allowed to submit a maximum of two (2) pieces of lyrics or anthem.
- Please note that there might not be any winning entries if the evaluations are deemed to be unsatisfactory.
