According to IOC news the former WTF President Dr. Un Yong Kim has resigned from his position as an IOC Vice President and also put down his IOC membership. By doing this he avoided a probable expulsion action by IOC in connection with the legal affair that had forced Dr. Un Yong Kim to step down from WTF presidency some time ago.
Un Yong Kim has been sentenced by a Korean Jury for fraud last year. WTF has emerged victorious from a threatening situation by electing Dr. Chungwon Chou as new WTF President just one month ago in Madrid and this election has put a strong drive into the development of international Taekwondo sports.
