23rd Universiade in Izmir

During the 23rd Universiade in Izmir, Turkey, a Taekwondo tournament based on the olympic categories was held from Aug. 15th to Aug. 19th 2005.
A total number of 354 participants (218 male and 136 female) took part at the competitions.The Turkish national coach and international referee Coskun Eftekin, had assembled a fine team around 
him. His assistants had worked with a vast number of volunteers and other specialists for over one year to be prepared for every possible situation. Very experienced taekwondo athletes, graduate students and referees had prepared for these days and provided an excellent organization.Ranking (total male/female):
