On Feb. 15th 2004, during the Asian Olympic Qualifications in Bangkok, there was a meeting of the WTF Executive Council. The top officials of WTF discussed about the situation of WTF and decided about the next steps after the resignation of Dr. Un Yong Kim as WTF-President.
The following decisions were made:

The letter from Dr. Un Young Kim about resigning as President from the WTF has been accepted.

Vice President Mr. Sun Jae Park (Italy) has been appointed as Acting Vice President of WTF from now until the Junior World Championships in Suncheon, Korea.

During the Junior World Championships June in Suncheon the WTF will organize an Extra Ordinary General Assembly. In this E.O.G.A. the delegates will elect a new WTF President for the running period until April 2005.

In April 2005 the normally scheduled General Assembly of WTF will take place in Madrid/Spain during the Senior World Championships and the delegates will elect a new President and a new Executive Council for the regular upcoming period of four years.
By taking those measures thw WTF Executive Council guarantees that all WTF matters will continue to be carried out smoothly and a new leadership can be called into position in a democratic way.
