The modus of selecting the participants for the Taekwondo contests at the Olympic Games in Athens 2004 is the same like last time. The will be regional selection tournaments and an international selection tournament where the competitors can qualify. The number of participants was risen to 124 (from 100 in Sydney), as you may know already.
The ETU General Assembly in Athens has voted in majority for Baku in Azerbaijan as hosting city for the European Olympic Games Selection Tournament for Olympic Games 2004. Concurrent hosting countries Germany, England, France and Turkey have been receiving lesser votes.The date of the selection tournament will be February 19th - 23rd 2004.
