ETU has sent a letter to all WTF-member federations to support the requested Extra Ordinary General Assembly. Meanwhile the WTF-Executive Committee has announced a meeting on Feb. 15th in Bangkok/Thailand to elect an Acting Vice President for the WTF. The initiative of ETU is directed towards a fast and smooth reorganization of WTF and to minimize the danger of getting into troubles regarding the olympic status of Taekwondo.

 

Below you find the original letter that ETU has sent to all National Federations.

Dear Friends,

 

 All of You are aware of the situation in WTF where we maybe have or have not Dr Kim as President. We do not know as information maybe caused by tactics changes from one day to another.

 ETU Executive Committee came to a conclusion that the existing situation can jeopardize our position as an Olympic Sport if the questions raised by the prosecution investigation of Dr Kim´s alleged corruption charges will go on. No matter if he will be find guilty or not. These circumstances decreases continuesly the reputation of our Global Sport and we must do all efforts not to end up – in the worse case -  in being excluded from coming Olympics.

 Therefore.  To avoid further damage ETU Ex.Co decided on Januari 20, 2004 to initiate a WTF Extra Ordinary General Assembly as soon as possible.

 

 Urgent two major points on the Agenda of the EOGA will be.

1. Changing of the statutes.
2. Elections of The President and the Ex. Co.

 The changing of statutes must be made before the elections as intensions are to make the elections of members to the WTF Ex.Co. in a democratic way

In other words. ETU will work for a democratic order in the coming GA´s of the WTF.

 To realize a WTF Extra Ordinary General Assembly the Global Taekwondo Family needs to summon 1/3 of the WTF Member Federations to proceed into a legal Extra Ordinary General Assembly according to the Statutes of WTF.

 ETU Ex.Co starts this procedure right now by asking you as Member Federation of WTF to support the coming cleaning up inside WTF Taekwondo by mail 1 sample to each of the 3 Authorities below and also listed on the Form (attached as page 2).

 

1 sample to:                 WTF Office,

1 sample to:                 Regional Taekwondo Federation/Association/Union

1 sample to:                 ETU Office on the address below and in the form.
