The World Selection Tournament for the Olympic Games 2004 in Athens took place from Dec. 4th until Dec. 7th 2003 in Paris, France. A total of 28 athletes were selected from the matches there. The first 3 placed athletes in 2 Olympic weight categories, and the first 4 athletes in the other 2 weight categories, qualified their NOC a place in the respective event:
- 3 men (1st – 3rd) x two (2) weight categories : 6 men
- 4 men (1st – 4th) x two (2) weight categories : 8 men
- 3 women (1st – 3rd) x two (2) weight categories : 6 women
- 4 women (1st – 4th) x two (2) weight categories : 8 women
International Referees have been selected by WTF to judge the fights and the National Teams have chosen their best competitors for this event. Due to the hard work of the Armenian Taekwondo Federation you can check out the competitors who participated in Paris by clicking here.
